The pandemic isn’t over. Logically we know this. In fact we both received our fifth COVID shot in the past two weeks, along with the requisite headache, chills and aching shoulder that accompanies this now biannual booster ritual. Other than the jab though we sense that COVID has loosened its grip on our sense of possibility when it comes to travel.

We are finally taking a “bucket list” trip to two “lands down under”. Four weeks in Australia followed by three in New Zealand. We will do our best to update this space as we go. Looking forward to travelling and visiting with friends from university in Australia (Lisa and Pete, Sarah and Ian, Patty and Graham!) and our “solo” road trip from Aukland to Queenstown in New Zealand.

We will be relying on planes, trains, automobiles, boats, and our feet as we explore. But first, the dreaded Economy Class journey from Toronto to Vancouver to Aukland to Brisbane. Wish us luck!
